It's so "modern" and classy looking. I know, that's the last thing you'd think to be hearing about a peeler, but I'm someone who likes all of her utensils and kitchen supplies to look nice and sleek. I noticed too, that when I use a traditional peeler, the peels from the food sometimes get caught in the blade. When I used this ceramic peeler, the peelings didn't get caught. It's also very light and comfortable to use. My finger doesn't end up hurting when I'm done peeling!
What are the advantages of ceramic as opposed to a regular blade?
- They say sharper, longer and are harder than steel
- They will not rust and are very easy to clean
When you do wash this ceramic peeler, be sure to clean it in a sink with soapy water. Why? Because the motion from the dishwasher might damage the blade. Ceramic is very durable, but not flexible.
